Joseph William Davenport born 1826 AL died 1909 married 1848 Harrison Co, Texas, Isabella Dial born 1827 SC died 1891, both bur. Oakwood Cemetery, Tyler, Texas. He was a physician. They were enumerated on the 1850 census of Harrison Co, Texas. They moved to Tyler in the 1850s, then to Henderson in the 1860s. They were enumerated on the 1870 census of Rusk Co, Texas, and on the 1880 census of Dallas Co., TX. They returned to Tyler. Smith County Federal Census Images 1860 Tyler p. 82; 1900 ED 98 p 21

    5. Pearl Patterson born 1886 TX died 1981 Smith Co, Texas, buried Oakwood Cemetery, Tyler, Texas, married 1934 Smith Co, Texas, John L. Tyler born c1876 died 1940 New York City, NY, buried Birmingham, AL, div. 1940, no children. She resumed use of her Patterson surname.
    6. Ruth M. Patterson born 1894 TX died 1983 Santa Fe, NM, married 1921 Smith Co, Texas, John Hunter Pope born 1894 died 1943, both buried Oakwood Cemetery, Tyler, Texas. He was a physician. John Hunter Pope married 1st 1915 Smith Co, Texas, Louise Elizabeth Lindsey 1898-1982, div. His parents: Irvin & Aileen (Bonner) Pope.

He was a clerk for the railroad, later worked for Mayfield Grocery Co. Her parents: Horace Henry & Mattie O. (Wood) Rowland.
