Evan Pierson THEDFORD, son of William THEDFORD and Amanda Jane SATTERFIELD, was born 23 Feb 1827 in Habersham Co., GA.

Pierson married Susan Malinda YOUNGBLOOD 12 Jul 1855 in Smith Co, Texas. The daughter of Jacob B. YOUNGBLOOD and Sarah STILL, she was born 27 Sep 1835 in Edgefield District, SC. In 1852 she moved to Smith Co, Texas with her family. She was converted and joined the Baptist Church in 1853 and raised her family in accordance with that faith.

To them were born 10 children:

3. Marion Benjamin THEDFORD, born 28 Mar 1860, Texas; died 16 Sep 1871; buried Seven Leagues Cemetery, Smith Co, Texas
