Howard Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Allen, husband of Mrs. Essie Mae Allen. Entered the Army in Nov., 1943, trained at Camp Hood, Texas.

ALLEN, JOHN T. P-1354
M/Sgt. John T. Allen, son of D. L. Allen, husband of Mrs. Georgia Allen, attended Tyler Schools and Tyler Com. College. Entered Army Air Force in Sept., 1939, trained at Randolph Field, Texas. Served in Italy. Has ETO Ribbon with one Battle Star. Discharged in 1945.

ALLEN, ALVIN L.
Pfc. Alvin L. Allen, son of S. W. Allen, attended Arp and Murph Schools. Entered Army in Aug., 1942. trained at Camp Wolters. Served in N. Solomons, S. Philippines and Tokyo. Awarded Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars and one Bronze Arrowhead. Philippine Lib. Ribbon with one Bronze Star and Good Conduct Medal.

ALLEN, THANIEL L.
CM 3/c Thaniel L. Allen, son of S. W. Allen. attinded Arp and Murph Schools. Entered Navy in Dec., 1942. trained in San Diego. Served in the S. Pacific. Awarded Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with three Battle Stars.

ALLEN. S. EDWARD
Pfc. Edward S. Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Allen. Entered the service in Nov., 1938, trained with the Army Infantry at Ft. Sam Houston and Camp Wolters. Texas. Served in Australia, Burma and New Guinea. Killed in New Gilinea in June, 1944. Awarded Purple Heart with Pres. Citation.

ALLEN, COY W.
Pvt. Coy W. Allen, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allen, husband of former Rowena Bramblatt, Tyler, graduate of Cameron H.S. Entered Army in May, 1945, served at Camp Hood, Texas.

ALLISON, BOBBIE E., JR.
Sgt. Bobbie E. Allison. Jr., son of B. E. Allison. husband of former Ida Belle Boyd, attended Tyler Schools. Entered the service in Oct, 1942. Trained at Blackland AAF, Texas and Chanute Field, Ill. Served in Iceland, Ireland, Scotland, England and France. Awarded ETO Ribbon with four Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal and EAME Ribbon.

ALLISON, JESS W.
Pfc. Jess W. Allison, husband of former Nella Mae Pritchard. Entered the service in March, 1944. trained in San Diego and Oceanside, Cal. Served on Saipan and Okinawa.

ALLISON, WILFRED B.
Pvt. Wilfred B. Allison, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Allison, Tyler, husband of former Ruby Heodlee, attended Tyler High and Commerce College. Entered Army Air Corps in June, 1943, trained at Sheppard Field, Texas, Jefferson Brks., Mo. and in Fargo, N. D. Discharged in January, 1944.

S/Sgt. Otis B. Allred, son of Mrs. Rena Allred, husband of the former Janis Rowan, attended Tech. College, Lubbock, Texas. Entered Air Corps, Oct., 1942, trained in South Plains AAF, Texas, Pampa, Texas.

ALSTON TRUMAN W.
T/Sgt. Truman W. Alston. Entered the Army Air Force, June, 1942, trained at Sheppard Field, Dallas Aviation School, Jefferson Bks., Mo., and Seattle, Wash. Served in Alaska. Discharged in November, 1945. awarded Good Conduct Medal, AP Ribbon with one Battle Star, Meritorious Unit Awarde, and Sharpshooter Badge.

ALSTON, WALTER B.
T/Sgt. Walter B. Alston, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Alston, wife, former Christine Kelly. Entered Army Oct., 1939, trained at Ft. Sam Houston. Served in Australia, New Glinea, Philippines. Discharged, 1945. Awarded the AP Ribbon with three Battle Stars and Pres. Citation.

ANDERSON, TOMMY C.
ARM 3/c Tommy C. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Foster Grigsby. Entered service June, 1943, trained at Corpus Christi and Beeville, Texas.

ANDERSON, ROBERT G.
SM 3/c Robert G. Anderson, son of Mrs. W. Anderson, wife, former Thoe Wolverton, graduate of Arp School. Entered Navy in 1943, trained in San Diego, Cal.

ANDRESS, THOMAS H.
S/Sgt. Thomas H. Andress, son of Mrs. Mary Andress, Palestine. Entered the service in June, 1942, Trained at Camp Roberts, Cal., and Ft. Ord, Cal., March Field and Ft. Custer, Mich.

ANDREWS, JOHNNY A.
Sgt. Johnny A. Andrews, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Andrews, husband of the former Opal Beckerdike. Entered Air Force, Dec., 1942, trained at Sheppard Field, Santa Marie, Muroc and San Bernardino, Cal. Served in Philippines, le Shima and New Guinea. Awarded the AP Ribbon with four Battle Stars and overseas now.

ANDREWS, WILL A.
CMM Will A. Andrews, son of Mrs. W. F. Andrews, at tended Tyler Schools. Entered service, 1942, then served in New Hebrides and Okinawa. Discharged, 1945.

ARMSTRONG, PAUL D.
M/Sgt. Paul D. Armstrong, grandson of Mrs. Bettie Burleson, husband of the former Kathleen W. Robinson, attended Tyler H. S. Entered the Air Force January, 1942, trained at Lowery Field, Colo., and Tyndall, Fla. Served in England, France, Belgium and Holland. Discharged October, 1945. Awarded the EAME Ribbon with six Battle Stars. Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Star Medal and Distinguished Unit Badge.

ARMSTRONG, A. T. JR.
S 2/c A. T. Armstrong, Jr., son of Mr. A. T. Armstrong, Sr., trained in San Diego, Cal. Served 32 months overseas with the Navy aboard the USS Hovey, destroyed off Luzon. Wounded Jan., 1945, Luzon, in sinking of the USS Hovey. Awarded the Purple Heart, AP Ribbon with eight Battle Stars and Good Conduct Medal.
