Entered Navy in 1944, trained in San Diego, Cal., Radar School, Point Loma, Cal. Served in Okinawa, Rita Raito Jima, Kyushu, Hiroshima Bay, Honshu, Kure and Naval Base, Tokyo.

Chief P. 0. Ellis J. Bacile, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Bacile. Entered the Navy, Nov., 1942, trained in San Diego, Cal. Served in New Hebrides and Fiji Islands, England and France. Awarded the Unit Citation.

BACTLE, JOSEPH A.
8 1/c,Joseph A. Bacile son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Bacile. Entered the Navy in July, 1944, trained In San Diego, Cal. Served in Alaska and Pearl Harbor.

BAGGETT, ARTHUR L.
Cpl. Arthur L. Baggett, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Baggett, Percilla, husband of the former Floy Belle Acker. Entered Medical Corps in 1941 trained at William Beaumont Gen. Hosp. Ft Louis Wash. Served In the Philippines. Awarded the Good Conduct Medal.

T/Sr. Jessie W. Balley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bagley, husband of former Madeline Floydd, attended Troup Schools. Entered Air Corps in Feb., 1938, trained at Ellington Field, Houston. Served in Pearl Harbor. Has Good Conduct Medal.

BAILEY, JOHN LOUIS
T/Sgt. John L. Bailey, son of W. S. Bailey, attended Lindale and Tyler Schools. Entered Army Anti-Aircraft in Oct., 1940, trained in San Diego and Barston, Cal. Served in Hawaii, Okinawa and Naha. Awarded AsiaticPacific Ribbon with two Battle Stars.

BAILEY, J. W.
J. W. Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Bailey. Entered Navy in Aug., 1944, trained in San Diego. Served in China, Hawaii, Carolina, Philippines, New Guinea and on Okinawa.

BAIN, PAUL
T/5 Paul Bain. son of Mrs. Rosa Hubbard, attended Flint Schools. Entered the Army in Oct., 1943, trained at Camp Fannin, Texas; Ft. Ord, Cal. Served in New Guinea and Philippines.

BAIN, JIM M.
Cpl. Jim M. Bain, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bain, husband of former Thelma Moose. Entered the service in Oct., 1942, trained at Camp Roberts, Cal. and in Pittsburg, Cal. Served in Aleutians, Alaska, Hawaii, Marshall and Admiralty. Awprded Philipine Lib. Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Purple Heart.

BAIN, CLEBURN W.
Yeoman 3/c W. Cleburn Bain, son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnie Bain. Entered the service in June, 1943, trained in Corpus Christi.

BAIN, JOHN W.
Cpl. John W. Bain. son of Mrs. Rosa Hubbard, attended school at Flint, Texas. Entered Armv in Nov., 1942, trained in Hawaii. Served in New Britain. Pauay Negroes and Numda. Awarded Inf. Combat Medal, Expert Rifle and Good Conduct Medal.

BAKER. EDWIN F.
Sgt. Edwin F. Baker, son ot Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Baker, graduated from Winona H.S. Entered the Marines in August, 1941. trained in San Diego. Served in the South Pacific and SW Pacific. Awarded Purple Heart.

BAKER, WILLIAM L., JR.
RM 3/c William L. Baker, Jr.. son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Baker, Sr., attended Arp H.S. Entered Navy in Feb., 1944, trained in San Diego. Served on New Caledonia, Saipan, Philippines and Okinawa; also Borneo, Guadalcanal and in Japan.

BALFOUR, BURETTE H.
Pvt. Burette H. Balfour, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. B. Balfour, husband of former Varene Bell, Troup. Graduated at Winona H.S. and Texas A&M. Entered Air Corps in Nov.. 1643, trained at Sheppard Field, Texas and Geiger Field, Wash.
