Coxswain Fred L. Clyburn, son of Mrs. Walter Clyburn, attended Bullard H.S. Entered Navy in Feb., 1943, trained at Great Lakes, Ill.. Served in EAME. Awarded EAME Campaign Ribbon, ETO Campaign Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon and 11 Battle Stars.

Of Philippines Ribbon, two Battle Stars, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, four Battle Stars and other honors.

Pvt. Charles E. Clymore, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Clymore, attended school at Salem. Entered Army in Sept., 1944, trained at Sheppard Field and Camp Bowie. Has Sharpshooter's Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon.

COBB, ALVA S.
Alva S. Cobb, S 1/c, son of Mrs. Susan Cobb, husband of former Mattie Holcomb. Entered Navy in Dec., 1943, trained in San Diego, Oceanside, San Bruno, Cal. Served on Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal, Okinawa and Guam. Has Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

COCKRUN, J. W.
S 1/c J. W. Cockrun, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Cockrun. Entered the service in Dec., 1943, trained in San Diego. Served on Pearl Harbor, Marshall and Gilbert Islands. Served aboard the USS Salomon and USS Missouri.

COLE, GARLAND L.
M/Sgt. Garland L. Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs., O. N. Cole, husband of former Esther Cuba. Entered Army Air Corps in 1942, trained at Love Field, Texas. Served in Africa and Italy. Has Dist. Unit Citation with two Clusters, Bronze Star and 10 Battle Stars.

S/Sgt. Charles H. Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Cole. Entered Army Air Forces in June, 1942, trained at Sheppard Field, Texas and Douglas Aircraft Co., Cal. Served overseas. Has six Battle Stars and DUC.

Capt. O. N. Cole, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Cole, Sr., husband of former Donia Rae Pinkston. Entered the service in April, 1943, trained at Camp Barkeley, Texas and Ft. Crockett, Texas; also Carlisle Bks., Pa. and Ft. Riley, Kansas.

M/Sgt. Walter L. Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Cole, Lindale, husband of former Helen Powers. Entered the Army in March, 1941, trained at Kelly Field, Texas, Midland, Texas and Kearns, Utah.

Sgt. Tillman J. Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Cole, attended Bullard Schools. Entered Army in May, 1943, trained at Ft. Riley, Kan. Served in Cuba, Manila, New Caledonia, Fiji, New Guinea, Okinawa, Leyte and Luzon. Has Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, four Battle Stars and Purple Heart.

Sgt. Joe R. Coleson, son of Mrs. Nancy Coleson, husband of former Morene Hewitt. Entered Army Air Force in March, 1942, trained at Greenville, S. C. and Alabama. Served in S. Pacific. Has Air Force Medal, four OLCs, Good Conduct Medal and Purple Heart.

Sgt. Robert L. Coley, son of Mrs. J. A. Taylor, attended Tyler Schools and Tyler Commercial. Entered Marines in 1939, trained in San Diego, Cal. Served in S. Pacific. Prisoner at Corregidor. Has Philippine Def., Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, American Def., Pres. Citation, Army Unit Citation, Legion of Merit, MacArthur Ribbon and two Commendation Ribbons, Purple Heart, four Battle Stars and other honors.

COLEY, T. C.
Pfc. T. C. Coley, son of Mrs. J. A. Taylor, Tyler, attended Tyler Schools. Entered Marines in 1942, trained in San Diego, Cal. Served in the S. Pacific, on Iwo Jima. Awarded Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon and American Defense Ribbon.
